Application of ceramic tiles on floors in need of repair.

On uneven floors, the surface must be leveled before applying the ceramic tiles. It is quite wrong to remove these irregularities with the tile adhesive during ceramic tile application. Otherwise, the necessary layer thickness will not be ensured, and the aesthetics of the arrangement of ceramic tiles will be not be achieved. At the same time, applying an adhesive that is too thick will cause it to shrink during drying and damage the surface.

Surface repairs should be carried out using TAMCRETE® CRM repair products on floors that are smooth but have level differences in individual places. On the surfaces that need to be brought to the same level, it is possible to level up to 4-8 mm and 20-40 mm by applying self-spreading, ready-to-use floor leveling materials FLOMAX® SL.

Application of ceramic tiles and joint filling

In small-sized ceramic tile applications, C1 class CERAMAX® adhesives according to EN12004-1 standard should be used, and in medium and large-sized ceramic tile applications, high-performance C2 class CERAMAX® products with increased additional features should be used. For long-lasting joint filler FUGAMAX® COLORFUL or FUGAMAX® FLEX should be used which is silicone-based, flexible, and antibacterial.
