The Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBİA) marked its five-year anniversary by presenting the "Dayaq" award to recognize contributions to small and medium enterprises. During the award ceremony, Minister of Economy Mikayıl Cabbarov praised the initiative and congratulated the agency's employees and entrepreneurs on their efforts.

President Ilham Aliyev’s commitment to entrepreneurship, particularly the development of small and medium-sized businesses, is reflected in the support mechanisms implemented across the country. It was emphasized that SMEs play a crucial role in economic flexibility, resilience, employment, and diversification. The minister also highlighted the involvement of entrepreneurs in economic development and the reintegration of liberated territories, noting that businesses are successfully operating in Karabakh, including industrial parks in Aghdam and Jabrayil. He praised the entrepreneurs' patriotic and socially responsible approach, which aligns with a forward-looking vision. The minister announced that new projects in liberated areas would be carried out in 2023, contributing to broader resettlement efforts in Karabakh.

At the ceremony, Shahmar Movsumov, the Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan and Head of the Economic Affairs and Innovative Development Policy Department of the Presidential Administration, emphasized the private sector’s significant role in economic growth. He reiterated that entrepreneurs are highly valued for their contributions to the nation's economy.
